After a tour in Portugal in a duo with Matthias Boss and other Portuguese artists Roberto Del Piano organized a recording session at the legendary Mu-Rec studio in Milan in the spring of 2012.
Thus was born the project of the Three Uncles.
I had met Roberto in 1975 and we hadn't met since then ....
The next day, listening to the recordings, we realized that we had played and recorded (meaning useful material ...) for exactly one hour .... that's why we called the first cd "One hour with the three uncles"
Here in two tracks there is also the great saxophonist Massimo Falascone who joined us in the afternoon session.
This is a mix of some of the tracks released in limited edition by Setola di Maiale in "One hour with the three uncles" and "Live & More"
